Mary Anne Gallagher
age 77, died peacefully at Gatesworth's McKnight Place, on Saturday September 6, 2014.
Born May 12, 1937, in Salamanca, New York, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Following a brief work study program in Columbus, Ohio, she graduated again with top honors at St. Louis University, getting her Masters in Social Work. She worked in private practice, and at various social service places around the St. Louis area. She last worked at Evangelical Children's Home (now Every Childs Hope), until retiring in 2009. She loved nature and children, and loved taking classes at the Lifelong Learning Institute through Washington University.
She leaves behind her daughter, Ann VonAllmen, son in law, David, and grandchildren, Lucas and Eva.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held from 12pm to 3pm, Saturday September 27 in the Great Hall of Ambruster Chapel, 6633 Clayton Rd. (Clayton). Father Thomas Vordtriede will be saying a blessing/prayer at 2pm. All friends, family, and children welcome.
