Jefrey Mark Christopher Nelson was born, June 26, 1963, in Rockford, Illinois to Mark Gene and Katharine Nelson. Jefrey was baptized into the Body of Christ, August 1963, at First Wesleyan Church. He was educated in the Rockford School System and obtained an Associates Degree from Rock Valley College.
Jefrey loved drama and the theatre. In 1994, The Starlight Theatre, awarded him the Best Performance by a supporting actor in "My Fair Lady." He pursued Voice-Over Training and received numerous project opportunities at The Clayton Studios in St. Louis. Many were fascinated by his unique Australian accent. Jefrey also had a passion for collecting autographs from celebrities and recipes from friends and acquaintances. He was an avid cook and enjoyed providing treats and impromptu catering for his co-workers over the years.
Jefrey moved to St. Louis and pursued his career as a Flight Attendant with Trans World Airlines and American Airlines. He was also employed, for the past 12 years, by the Transportation Administration at St. Louis Lambert Airport. Jefrey Nelson will be deeply missed by Everett Hughes III, his companion and partner for eight years.
Jefrey departed this life on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Gene Nelson. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Katharine Nelson, Machesney Park, Illinois; siblings: Jennifer Bertone, Machesney Park, Illinois; Elizabeth and Bud Wilson, Rockford, Illinois; Andrew and Terrie Nelson, Winnebago, Illinois; Martha and Sam Bianchi, Belvidere, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
