Anne Catherine "Cathy" Weaver (nee Kearney) of St. Louis, Missouri passed peacefully into the spiritual world on Sunday, October 26, 2014. She is the wife of the late Kenneth W. Weaver, C.P.M., the love of her life.
She leaves two daughters and their families to cherish her memory: Susan Weaver Sylvia, her husband Edward F. Sylvia, and Joan Weaver Judd, wife of the late John J. Judd, and her beloved grandson, Adam J. Sylvia. Dear sister-in-law of Marion Weaver Williams. Much-loved aunt, great aunt, and friend to many.

A graduate of Rosati-Kain High School, she worked after WWII at Midwest Fittings, where she met her future husband, married and began their family. She was known as a wonderful and supportive wife, loving mother, and creative homemaker who expressed her artistic talents as a skilled seamstress, talented visual artist, gardener and crafter. She was also an excellent cook and hostess. She was a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Altar Guild at her church, and a St. Louis Zoo parent for decades. She loved nature, art, music and life. Her circle of friends was wide and included neighbors, church friends and the Mustangs Athletic Club, a group of friends who have remained in close contact for well over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hugh Kearney and Nettie (Traczyk) Kearney; brother Joseph Kearney and his wife Eleanor, his second wife Marie; and three sisters: Mary Duncan and her husband Richard Duncan, Rose Robinson, Clara Jo Hill and her husband Walker "Bud" Hill; and her late husband's parents Oscar and Eleanora Weaver, his brother Eugene and wife Luanne Weaver, sister Helen Weaver and brother-in-law Cecil Williams.

A memorial event to celebrate her joyful life will be held at Ambruster Chapel, 6633 Clayton Road, Clayton, MO 63117 on Saturday afternoon, November 22 at 4:00pm. Interment at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery was private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Louis Zoo Parents Program P. O.
