Tribute & Message From The Family

James 0. Grigsby
Passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Beloved son of Dr. Perry Grigsby and Ms. Connie Grigsby; dear brother of Beth Grigsby, Amy Grebel (nee Grigsby), Thomas Grigsby, Isabella Grigsby and David Grigsby; uncle of Charlie and Josie Grebel, Grayson Grigsby Stevens, and friend to many.
James graduated from Christian Brothers College High School, Saint Louis University, and the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Master's of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering. He was a member of the Saint Louis University Chapter for the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers where he acted as treasurer from 2003-2005.
James was truly a great son, brother, uncle and friend. He was an outstanding soccer player and captain of CBC's varsity team his senior year, a St. Louis Blues and Cardinals fan, dog lover, and movie buff. James was a kind, intelligent, and cheerful guy who will be greatly missed by many.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 5, in the Great Hall of Ambruster Chapel, 6633 Clayton Rd. Visitation will follow the service until 3:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Christian Brothers College High School in honor of James Grigsby.

Condolence & Memory Journal

We were so deeply saddened by the tragic news of James' passing. Although we have been away from St. Louis for 15 years, we couldn't help in recalling the numerous times that the Grigsby and Bruns boys got together for overnighters and play at Washington Terrace. While the current grief is heavy in your hearts, the memories of James' growing up and his stories will always be special.

From our family to yours, you have our deepest sympathy.

Perry, I was so saddened to hear news that James passed away. James was a kind, gentle soul, taken from this earth far too soon. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers for healing.

My heart truly goes out to all of you, and your family. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope you know my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I did not know James as well as I do each of you, but from talking with each of you over the years I got a real good sense of the person he was and the love you all shared for him.
Know that I will be thinking of you and your family through this time and the days to come.
